Schools in parks

Parks for teaching and learning

Natural Resources Adelaide and Mt Lofty Ranges’ NRM Education team has teamed up with park rangers from Belair and Para Wirra to develop a series of education packs for schools and families. These packs, specific to local parks, contain information that will help teachers and families engage students in a park setting. In addition they provide resources for children to use when in a park.

The schools in parks education packs include:

  • pre-visitor information for a park including a map, things to do, and safety information
  • identification charts and fact sheets for local plants and animals
  • units of work.

Laminated versions of the pack are available to loan from Belair National Park on 8278 5477 or NRM Education on 8234 7255.
