Volunteering

Volunteers play an important role in managing Northern and Yorke’s (NY) natural resources. Their contribution of time, energy, expertise, equipment and resources is extremely valuable in the sustainable management of our environment.

Volunteering is a rewarding experience for people of all ages. Volunteers make new friends, learn new things, have fun and keep fit – all in the beautiful surroundings of NY!

A range of volunteering opportunities exists in NY. If you would like to get involved, contact our Natural Resources Centre to be added to our volunteer register – you will be contacted when volunteering opportunities arise.

Volunteer Engagement Strategy

Natural Resources Northern & Yorke (NRNY) have been progressing with the development of a Volunteer Engagement Strategy.

NRNY acknowledges the valuable contribution of their volunteers and is committed to facilitating community involvement in managing our natural resources. This Strategy will provide direction for NRNY to achieve an effective and consistent approach to engaging with their volunteers.

The Strategy’s development is now in the adoption phase. For more information, contact the Volunteer Support Officer on 8841 3400 or dewnrnorthernandyorkevolunteers@sa.gov.au.
