NRM Agricultural Knowledge Small Grants

The South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board is pleased to announce to opening of the 2016 NRM Agricultural Knowledge Small Grants.
Who can apply?
Funding through the ‘NRM Agricultural Knowledge Small Grants’ has been made available to give groups the opportunity to undertake agricultural training, skills and knowledge building in the areas they see as being important. The grants are available to the following existing groups:
- Agriculture Bureaus
- Farming system groups
- Field day committees
- LAP groups
- Non-government and not for profit organisations working to improve agriculture
- Consultant facilitated farmer groups
Groups must be pre-existing and can be formal or non-formal. State and Federal Government agencies are ineligible to apply.
What is the application criteria?
The NRM Agricultural Knowledge Small Grants funding can be used to undertake the following activities including but not limited to:
- Access a key note or guest speaker/s to present to the group
- Organise a field day for the group
- Host a workshop
In addition, to be successful projects must demonstrate the following:
- Projects must be conducted within the SAMDB NRM region
- Project outcomes must build agricultural training, knowledge or skill of the group.
How much can be applied for?
A maximum of $3,000 (GST Exc) is available per group applying.
What is the opening and closing date for applications?
Applications open 20 August 2016 with final submissions due 3pm Monday, 12 September 2016
When do projects need to be completed by?
Projects must be completed, all funding acquitted, and project final reports completed and submitted on or before Friday 2 June 2017. There will be no opportunities for project extensions.
