News and events
Within Natural Resources SADMB, the Land and Water Management Team is responsible for delivering a range of services to land managers in the region.
With the aim of developing sustainable farming systems and improving the state of natural resources, our staff work with land managers, agricultural organisations and groups to identify current issues and develop potential solutions.
These projects can take on different formats depending on the issue including on-farm trials, field days, workshops, engaging expert speakers and consultants or developing tools and resources.
We have a range of useful resources to help land managers from all sectors of agriculture – field crops, livestock and pastures, soils, sustainable irrigation and farm management.
Our digital tools are available through the Tools for Land Managers section, including nrmFARM, weatherstations and soil moisture networks.
Throughout the year we manage and support events for farmers, irrigators and land managers.
Natural Resources SAMDB also promotes a broad range of events for the whole community.
The Sustainable Farming and Sustainable Irrigation teams also publish e-newsletters to keep land holders informed about the latest trial results, available resources and digital tools.
