Swamp fest 2019
23 June 2019
Time: 10 am - 3 pm
You and your family are invited to Swamp Fest, an annual community day to help re-establish habitat around one of the Fleurieu’s last remaining large swamp ecosystems.
We’ll plant endangered Mount Compass Oak-bush seedlings, and other native plants, to improve habitat for the endangered Mount Lofty Ranges Southern Emu Wren – a spectacular and secretive bird.
The day also features kids’ activities and talks.
Your work will help continue the fantastic work of volunteers that have pitched in at other Swamp Fests.
- wet weather gear (e.g. waterproof jacket/pants, gumboots)
- warm clothing and boots
- work gloves
- water bottle.
