Mini marine discovery
Do you love to explore? Join our rangers in this interactive mini marine environment. Get beneath the surface while still on dry land and discover local marine and coastal species like shark eggs, shells and seaweeds in this hands on display.
Where: Kingscote Tidal Pool When: 10 am–1 pm Thursday 17 January
Did you know seagrass meadows are visible from space? Do you want to be a junior marine scientist and discover what secrets seagrasses hold? Healthy seagrass meadows support a wide variety of species including King George whiting. Join our rangers on this free interactive day where we will explore seagrass meadows using special nets and discover what is hidden in the meadows.
Where: Reeves Point playground When: 12–2 pm Monday 21 January
A hat, sunscreen, water bottle, bathers and enclosed shoes to get wet.
Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
