Tatiara Water Allocation Plan Review

A review of the 2010 Tatiara Water Allocation Plan started in February 2017.

Stakeholder Advisory Group

The South East NRM Board formed a stakeholder advisory group in May 2017. This group is the primary community reference for the Board for the review of the Plan. There will be other opportunities for the wider community will be involved in the revision of the WAP, such as public meetings and other engagement activities.

Representatives on the group include:

  • Mundulla Vignerons Association
  • SA Water
  • South East NRM Board
  • Tatiara District Council
  • Upper South East NRM Group

Group Meetings

The group is meeting regularly to review the current WAP and consider new information about water policy and science, discuss options for better management and will define an approach to address issues for the revision of the WAP.

What’s next?

A Tatiara WAP Review Document has been finalised and was endorsed by the Board at its meeting on 26 October 2017.

The document outlines the issues that need to be considered as part of the revision of the Tatiara WAP.

The Stakeholder Advisory Group and staff of Natural Resources South East will be undertaking an analysis of the issues in the Review Document and develop recommended actions and draft amendments to the Tatiara WAP. The community will be kept updated on progress.
